               Preliminary Announcement
    Third International Conference on Substorms (ICS-3)

After the successful meetings held in Kiruna (1992) and Fairbanks 
(1994), the Third International Conference on Substorms (ICS-3) will
be held in Versailles, France, from Monday May 13 to Friday May 17,
1996. Participants are expected to register on Sunday 12 in the 
evening. Versailles is famous for its castle built by the former 
king of France Louis the XIVth. The conference will be accommodated
just in front of the castle. Versailles is easily accessible from
the two main Paris airports, Charles-de-Gaulle and Orly. People 
interested in substorms are invited to keep the above dates in mind.
